I have worked with adults and children in community mental health agencies, a sexual trauma agency, and a psychiatric hospital. I have special interests in couples work, trauma, biracial concerns, and anxiety. I believe therapy is about building a stronger sense of self through empathy, insight and symptom relief. I will be there to provide understanding, support and a different view of the problem that makes progress attainable and installs hope. Therapy provides an opportunity to grow as a person, get through personal struggles including mental illness, and strengthen relationships.
I enjoy working with highly sensitive peolpe who want to understand their traits, and work through difficult problems to enhance and or repair their lives and relationships. I also enjoy working with individuals who are struggling with work/school demands, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, among other difficulties.
I look forward to collaboratively working with people who want to feel better. It takes courage to stand up and face life challenges and I admire those that take it upon themselves to reach out for help.
